Well, I ran an ad in the BR newspaper today and got a call about the tank first thing this morning. A very sweet girl came by this afternoon. She and her husband had a 90 gallon saltwater system that fell victim to Hurricane Katrina and they are ready to start again. She put a deposit on the tank an...

The tank is completely empty and scrubbed clean. It looks as if it were in a LFS ready to be sold. It's odd walking through the living room and not seeing water and fish and corals...very strange. We have a 20x40 storage building behind our new house so the monster tank will go there when we move in...

I myself was considering a 60 cube with a center overflow for my seahorse tank I want to start up. Of course Charlie says thats not big enough. Wasn't it his idea to downsize? You can order one relatively inexpensively from www.glasscages.com. Be wary that shipping aint cheap. But....they wi...

We run our tank on a reverse light schedule. They come on at about 6 PM and go off at about 4 AM. We do that for two reasons. First off the overall house temp is cooler at night, therefor the overall tank temp is cooler. And two, our air conditioner has to fight hard enough during the day to combat ...

Wow, that stuff looks better in your tank than it ever looked in mine! I am sooo glad you like it. May you enjoy it for many years to come my friend. Best of luck to you. In the future, if a hurricane comes your way, put all the food in an ice chest and hook up the aquarium to the generator. The hec...

As for the room..yea its big. It's actually the kitchen, dining room and living room all in one big space. It stretches the entire length of the house practically. It measures about 25 x 60 I guess. Maybe it's bigger. I had the entire interior and exterior of the house painted just prior to putting ...

And another pic...its a big tank and it had about a 6-7 inch sand bed. The PVC rack is what held the rock in place. First we drained the saltwater and then refilled it with fresh water. The we drained the freshwater and started scooping sand into a barrel with cups. We actually stored quite a lot of...

And So It Goes.....Update...It's A Done Deal
Well, another era has come to an end. Andy and Tremayne came over to our house on Thursday and took home the majority of our live rock, corla and fish. John then came from Mississippi on Saturday morning and took some rock, corals, sand, water and a few fish I had saved out for him so he could get h...

I apologize publically to Andy and I stand corrected. As I stated before, if it was not your intention Andy to sell my rock, then please excuse my posts. I have done something here that I typically do not like in other people and that is speak before all the facts are known. I overreacted. Atribute ...
