After going and looking at a pump my LFS had running I've finally decided on a pump for the return, a BlueLine 40 HD-X. It should be in Friday so I've got to get to work and get this tank ready.

VHO's and end cap length

I'm building a canopy for my new 100 gallon tank this week and I need some measurements. Along with the three MH's in the hood I will also be putting four 60" VHO's. Does anyone know the total length of this bulb with water proof end caps? I don't want to get the canopy built and then find out ...

If the tank is still empty I really suggest you look into getting the tank drilled.....I have played with overflows before and they are a lot more trouble....they catch air bubbles and stop extra wk cleaning ect...if you could have it drilled on each end or sometimes drilled along the back you will...

I'll be there. I usually work on Saturday but I'm taking the day off just to make sure I can make it.

Can someone resend me the directions. I changed email accounts during my move and I didn't get an email.

Re: Update...

We closed on the house today and I'm ready to start work on the new tank. My new RO/DI unit came in yesterday and the MH lights should be here Friday. The tank has been ordered and should be here some time next week. Did you get the tank in yet? :P Well, yes and know. When I went to the LFS to pick...

If you still have it at the next meeting I will buy it. I'd come down earlier but I'm trying to move so I'm a little tied up right now.

KrazyPlace, Thanks for the input. I had already decided on a few changes and I should have posted an update here. The 600 gph through the sump should be fine, but I do want some more flow inside the tank. I also don't like how fast the SCWD switches at high flow rates, so I will be installing a clos...
