Thats too bad. My friend told me that he swears he saw it just a few months ago, but has been out of the hobby for a while.

Well, I guess my only options for local stores are B&B, FatFish and PetSmart, eh?

Amazon's River?

Well, I went on an adventure today. We drove out to Foley, with directions to Amazon's River in hand. I didn't call beforehand, unfortunately, but once I got out there and didn't see it, I called 251.971 2200. I got a message for "Coral Reef Design". Is this place still up and running? A f...

Well, I went and looked at Mobile Bay and did not find any, although the area I was looking in did not have many natural plants, there are quite a few planted in the replicated "wetlands" area, which is fed by bay water. Then, I went down to the Weeks Bay boardwalk in Fairhope, and still d...

Thanks. I know a lady who has had a pair in her freshwater tank since 2001. I think they're a bit more popular in the FW scene because there is a limit on what kind of snails we can get, but there are apparently better snails for SW tanks. Anyhow, thanks again. I'm going to go check out the eastern ...

Collecting snails

I've been looking for nerite snails for a while, particularly for a freshwater tank. I can not seem to find them anywhere locally, B&B offered to order for me, but they said it was, obviously, all based on what was available to them. Anyhow, I know they're native to the Gulf of Mexico, and saw o...

Yeah, I've looked into the new T6 fixtures, which would get me at 1.96WPG, but didn't think anyone would be getting rid of one yet since they're relatively new. Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it. P.S. I know this isn't the right board, but since I have a topic going, does anyone know of ...

Looking for 48" Twin Tube Fluorescent

Hey guys, I just found this place on Google while searching for a local fish club. I actually keep a 55 gallon freshwater community, but figured I'd ask here in case anyone had something laying around in the attic. I need to hit somewhere between 1 and 2 watts per gallon for my plants, and a 40w x 2...
