Tank clearout..... Tons of zoas/palys and acros cheap !!!

Hey all, Im having a hard time finding a job so I need to downgrade back to my 90. My 225g is packed full and I'm looking to get rid of a lot of coral. Most of the stuff is named and it's all hardy and beautiful. The equipment is already spoken for. I'm switching tanks Monday so if you'd like to pic...

90g Full Setup -- Need this gone FAST!!

Time to get rid of the 90g. It served me well in my early reefing days. It's still up and running so whoever wants it will have to come pick it up though my roommate and I will assist in breaking it down and loading it up. I'm about to graduate and money's a little tight so I need some cash flow. Pr...

Re: Topic: MBRK rejuvenation

I haven't read all the posts in this three but I want MBRK to return to it's former glory. We have a great resource of reefers in this community. I've offered to auction a frag pack to boost membership and club funds but have had no response. Otherwise I literally have 1000's of zoas that need homes...

Re: Acrylic Sump

A friend of a friend here owns an acrylic shop. He's offered to do some work for me In the cheapish range. I'll take a generic sump design to him and get a rough estimate if you'd like.

That was only an assumption. I had about 60 aptaisa an. The peppermints leave about 5 or so smaller ones in various places

Re: Aiptasia

3:1 RO water to kalkwasser mix. This paste has a pH of about 20. Take a syringe with an 18 gauge or less needle or a small pipette and lay some on the plate near the mouth. Be careful not to release too much excess into the tank. The CBB is a huge hit or miss. Remember, fish should be evaluated on a...

Re: Looking for a Used Tank

Trying out a temperate climate setup? I'd like to see someone keep a Catalina Goby. As for the chiller, I would go with a 1/10 hp with that water volume. Reefer's Paradise has a 1/10 hp Aqua-Chill for pretty cheap.

Re: Something I am Looking For

LMK what you need. A buddy of mine works or Amtrack and he goes to NY every other week. He said there's a plastic shop there that has acrylic rods, weld-on, etc. I could get him to pick some up next go-round.

Re: Acropora bleaching

Before reefing, as little as 2 years ago I literally couldn't keep a betta alive. Then in may my roommate set up a 7g. Even with just LR under 50/50's I was hooked from that point. Damn this addiction

Re: Acropora bleaching

I have to agree that we do have great resources in this area. For me it's blind luck, a lot of bravado, and obssessive research/ trial and error that has led me to my conclusionS. Seven months ago I started this hobby and have enjoyed most the keeping of acropora

Re: Aqurium Update (Full Tank Pictures)

Just going to butt in here about the vortechs: they are super-mega-ultra-fantastically-awesome. I only have one of mine on my new tank and it pushes water at least 6 feet when it's wide open. Virtualy silent. The drivers connect wirelessly so wave motion can be controlled with sync and anti-synch mo...

Re: Acropora bleaching

My key to success with SPS is as follows: -Strong, indirect, intermittent flow -Adequate PAR values (light that can be utilized for photosynthesis) at a given height -If running a mixed reef, run carbon for 2 days at least every two weeks (don't let your tank become a petri dish for allelopathy) -Br...
