Im now thinking what I might do is put a T inline of the return and send it back into the sump. Put a valve on it so I can adjust how much goes back into the return and what goes into the main tank. Yes, my skimmer is that tall to compensate for the size of my coffee maker.
Nevertheless, my wife broke the collection cup (she dropped it and it broke where the neck meets the collection cup) and I decided to modify it, and this is the result. :twisted:

I modified my CSS 65 to 44 inches tall. I will see if I can barrow a camera from someone to post pics. I took a 2 1/2’ section of 3” pvc a Male thread and female thread coupling and a female thread insert for 3” pvc I ground the outside of the thread insert down to fit into where the o-ring sits the...
