Re: Thinking...

Well, I've hit a few snags. First, my job just got a lot more demanding, which is fine by itself because I actually like my job 95% of the time. But it also looks like I will be moving in the near future. Luckily it's not close (Lucedale, MS) but it's still something foreboding that will require eit...

Re: Vacation

Too much can go wrong in that amount of time. It's best to have someone, even a neighbor that doesn't know crap about aquariums, at least make sure that everything looks okay. I have gone one week and by the time I got home I was severely stressed about what I was coming home to.

Re: Wow, B&B horror show

Really, it's always been like that. I rarely go in there because of the prices and the quality of the corals. I have purchased a fish from there before. It's pretty sad really. They do have the potential, I just think that it is the ownership (that is what I have heard at least, I am not stating thi...

Looks good. I really like the laptop in your kitchen. I never thought to keep one there but I may have to start.

Not yet but I hope that we can supercharge this thing again. Maybe we can have another one at your house.

Re: Hi Snoop and Scott

What's up John. I was driving down Highway 90 around where your hotels are (used to be) the other day and my wife asked about you. I am trying to get started back up again but with the economy the way it is it's been a struggle.

What have you been up to?

Sounds cool. What are the dimensions of the tank? What are you planning for it?

Re: Thinking...

Hey Jason. I have been good. In the past 4 years I have spent about half my time in the midwest (between Minneapolis, Madison, Kansas City, Wichita and Pueblo mostly). I think that I may not spend as much time out this year, my son is getting old enough to help and my daughter really wanted a to see...

Re: Any PC folks who use(d) Sandboxie?

ESXi does not load on top of an OS, it is the OS. So when you go to an ESXi server, all you see is a Linux screen, no interface. You completely control it from another workstation. ESXi is the little brother of ESX. ESX is a full blown multiple server badass hypervisor. V-Motion is about the cooles...

Re: Your other hobbies or interests?

Man now I am about to download opensuse and run it on my mac. Way to go scott :D Which do you recommend? The Opensuse or Ubuntu? Anything a must have or must download and install? I see they now have the 3D desktop thing incorporated into the OS. When I was getting into it, it was all new and still...

Re: Any PC folks who use(d) Sandboxie?

What are the benefits of VMware ESXi? I am as far from the bleeding edge of software as anyone interested in computers can be. It's technically not part of my career even though I get involved in some minor things from time to time, all the things I know about pretty much comes from RSS feeds or sit...

Re: Your other hobbies or interests?

I tried the Linux thing for a little bit but I found I was over my head plus I didn't want to dedicate the time to learn it all. I am lazy with the .exe and .dmg installers where linux based while I was playing with it required more to install programs. It was cool though. The last OS I played with...

Re: Your other hobbies or interests?

I like fooling around with computers but I am not into any of the old stuff. The thing that I have enjoyed most recently is setting up Opensuse 11.2 on a couple of laptops that are old. I also like guns although I sold my some of my best so that my wife wouldn't have to work when my son was born. Ri...
