Its funny, I've ordered 2 things from ebay in my 8 or so years on the internet, both have been reef tank related...and both have been a complete disappointment.

Sounds like your return pump maybe too large for your drain plumbing. Or you may need to add a bit more water to the system.

No biggie. I really just bought some to check it out. Its not reef sand by my standards. Its very coarse, brown and dusty. Looks like leveling sand you can get at HD for $8 a 50lb bag. The "extras" were 2 empty snail shells, a piece of rubble rock the size of a quarter, and a piece of chea...

This is a bit of a rip off to put it nicely. Do not order this sand.

Loosely rubber banding shrooms/rics to a small piece of rock seems to work pretty well. Cut the rubber band after he's stuck and you done.

He's replied to my communications and has good feedback. He claims to ship every Monday and offered to ship earlier if I needed him to.

With dead sand being $1/1.25/lb. locally I think its still worth looking in to.

I will let you know.

If you feel like making the drive Coral Connection in Kenner has live sand $1/lb. right now with a 50lb minimum. If you would rather see what you are getting. Last time I bought LR there, it was $5/lb for some really prime looking stuff if you need that as well.

New lights

Sup gang, I am looking to scrap my canopy and go open top on my 120g (48x24x24). I've been looking at a few different pendant fixtures. I was planning to go with 2x250w hqi pendants. Problems is, all the fixtures I like are pushing $800-$900. So I started looking at some t5 setups. http://www.reefge...

Drew could you post a picture of the pendants? Mostly I want to see how they mount where the power cord comes out

If you are looking for a new tank, give James a call at http://www.saltwateruniverse.com/.

Tell him you are from MBRK, he will shoot you a fair price.
