Lighting Suggestion...
Im fixing to order a MH setup for my 28gallon Bow front tank. Im just wanting some opinions. I have 110watts of PC light. One Actintic and one 10k. What would you guys recommend? 175 or 250? Not much difference in price, but I figure the 175 will be enough and a little easier on heat and power. Also...

Some Things I would be Interested in at the Meeting.
If any of you guys have some Xenia, Mushrooms, Zoos, GSP's, or some of the other lowlight corals I would be interested in some frags. Im just getting my tank started and I would rather start on some of the easier corals do to my lack of experience. Looking for some Birthday Boy Specials.
Thanks
Thanks

Side note...for approx. $50 I can add another 65watts of PC lighting to my setup bringing it to 175 watts of PC. From what Ive read and seen...that seems like it would be plenty of light for most anything I would like to have...if I wanted some strong light corals I could move them to the top of the...

From doing some research, I found this link http://www.personal.psu.edu/faculty/s/b ... hting.html and it seems that ballast would do what I wanted it to. Seems about the cheapest ballast Ive found so far. Thanks.

I read that you have to make sure the ballast has the same ANSI setting as the bulb you are going to use. I dont know much about what lights I will want to use so that kinda leaves me clueless. :) Anyway, here is a ballast I was looking at. Is this something that would work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/e...

DIY Metal Halides...
While I have never fooled with it much, it looks like DIY for MH's is by far the cheapest way to go. Ive always been fairly handy and Im sure I could put it together, my problem is knowing what I need and knowing the cheapest place to get it. Im going out of town for a few days to earn some extra ca...

Hermit question...
Heres the deal. I ordered a few scarlet reef crabs and well, one of them isnt. He looks to be the same type of hermit we can pick up local on the Gulf. Ive heard some bad things about these and figure I might have to get him out. I have been given credit because of it but before I remove I just want...
