They are one of the coolest fish. They are difficult if in a small tank with small pod populations. I had one in my 55 that withered away to nothing. It was sad. Now on the other hand my parents had one that lived forever. It was the only fish that lived through all the crap they put the fish throug...

Scott, Are you willing to let Mike frag off a small little one inch piece of that Porites? :) We are going to trade stuff up in two weeks and I'd like a small piece of the porites if i could get one. Mike, I'll trade the green/blue zoos strait up for the open brain. I also have 3 other bluish zoos t...

Mike,

I'm going to stop in to the store tomorrow between 12 and 1. I'm not going to bring the corals though. I want to talk to you to see what the best way for me to bring this stuff over and keep it at work will be. I'll discuss it with you tomorrow.

what kind of brain is the baby hunter green one? I'd be interested in a frag of the birdnest also. I still have 3 two to three square inch rocks covered in zoos. One is blue/green, one is a mix of orange/yellow, and the other has a larger green polyp taking over a yellow rimmed orange zoo. The local...

I'm still interested in selling it. Things have just been hectic for me the past two week. I need to come up with a price and can probably get pics up for you. I still need to clean it out also. The stand and hood were made out of pine and stained in a walnut color. I had to get that composite wood/...

I'm only running one 4 inch fan on my tank right now and seem to be able to keep the temp at 82. Thats with a 3 bulb VHO setup, one 175w mh and one 250w mh. The house temp is around 74 i guess. The one thing that is odd is that i have one of those stick on thermometer for the outside of the tank and...

I hate to do it.

I guess i have a 26 gal bowfront tank stand/hood for sale. The hood needs some work as well as the stand. They are only 5 months old but i built them myself for the bowfront which was a crazy job. They are fairly nice though. I wanted to keep it and set it up again but I have come into financial pro...

I would make it a fish only tank for the most part. I'd drop some polyps and shrooms in to see if they make it to cover the lr but other than than some nice tangs/angles and probably a trigger(pinktail) with some other oddballs that would get along.

I'd be interested in one of the hammer frags also. I still have those zoos but I haven't had time to deal with getting over to mobile to trade up. Let me know what you would be interested in if you have any frags to trade.

I had my problems with hair algae and it still hasn't gone away. I had no measurable amounts of trites or trates though. I fed the fish about twice a week and have a fuge with macro growing. Tested for phosphate and silicate and couldn't find any. My RO water tested perfect. I even took out the rock...

The toothpick method works fairly well. I've only done it a few time but have not had a problem once when doing it that way. It makes me wonder how these corals like to be cut then poked, but they seem to respond ok and eventually attach to the rock.

From what I understand the rule of thumb is that most clowns will fight with eachother. That being said I have seen numerous tanks with different types of clowns in them. I would maybe stay away from the Maroon Clowns since they do get larger and are a bit nasty at times. I have seen false percs wit...

How much did the pistol shrimp cost? I bought a White Rayed Prawn Goby in december and have been looking for a pistol shrimp for him since January. Water World has them for $35 which i refuse to pay. I can get one from SWF.com for $9 or something like that and i'm waiting for a buddy to place an ord...

Anyone Interested in Clams?

I'm hooked. I picked up a squamosa in october or november and have since aquired a purple maxima(1st grade) and a gold maxima. I want one more clam. I'm looking for a ultra maxima with some wild coloration. I've been visiting Clamsdirect and EastCoastClams the last few days because i know i won't fi...

I thought that the sinularia frag was larger than that.... That shroom looks great in that picture. I just had too much light for it to look good. You have more of a blue color rather than purple for the spots.
