Informal meeting topics....

How about talking about meeting topics. Nothing formal, just a thread to remind us about things we want to talk about while we are all together.

Field Trip....cool idea. Familys or not?

Sada,

This will be my first meeting also. I think there will be mostly new folks at this one. Maybe we can talk some of the older members into showing up.(Not older in age.....older as in members of the club longer)

See Ya there,

Group flyers

As Mike mentioned earlier, we also belong to a local RC Club. I remember the first time I went into the HobbyTown to look, they gave me a flyer about the local club. Before I even made a purchase, I visited the club and talked with alot of folks. If we do get this thing revived, we have to get some ...

So, Does this mean you are totally giving up on the club? Maybe doing something a little different from last time is not such a bad thing. I have offered to sponsor this site until we can get a club reformed, so this shouldn't cost anyone but me anything for the time being. The reason I am in favor ...

Special Guest at meetings

I read in another post that Eric Borneman came to B&B yesterday. Would it be cool to have someone like this (a true expert) attend a meeting once in a while. Lets see what we can do.

August Meeting

Andy, I'll be there. How about I make everyone a deal. I'll pick up about $50 of coral before the meeting. Maybe one medium/large piece and maybe a couple of frags and some raffle tickets. We can draw for door prizes sometime during the night. This could help more people be more motivated to come. L...

MBRK

Mike, Thanks for starting this thread. I too would love to have some kind of formal club. Not really really formal with officers and things. Or, maybe it needs to be like that. Anyway, being new in this hobby, I would love to meet everyone. The one thing I've learned about this hobby is you can usua...

Red Colt

Dxtr,

That red colt is really cool. I need to add some color to my tank. Any left?
I live in Daphne, you could drop by some day and pick a frag of something in my tank. (I'm pretty new, not an experienced fragger yet.)

Kristin, The easiest way I could explain is this... Take I-10 to the first exit in Daphne. Stay to the right heading south on 98. Look over to the left and you'll see a gas station. It will be before McDonalds and Waffle House. There is a little road that cuts through their parking lot. Cut through ...

Live Rock

Not to get on the FF bandwagon, but they just got some pukani live rock the other day. (not sure if thats the correct spelling) Walked in the store and it smelled like someone died in there. They said it was the new liverock curing. I got to take a peek. THIS SHI?>#$% IS WICKED LOOKING. They said it...

The macro is doing good. Its in the sump with a light running almost 24/7 for now. Seems to be taking off a little. I need to make a real refigium as some point. I'm sure glad the tank stand has doors on it. You should see all the crap under there.

Hi Everyone,

Been around here for about 3 months now. Figured I would post some new pics of the tank. Its neat to see all the changes in such a short amount of time.

Pet Peeve

Ever read the back of a Kent bottle? Bought some goodies to feed my coral and made the mistake of reading the back of the bottle. If you go by what they tell ya, you'll have about 40 chemicals sitting around. If the tank really needs all this stuff, why can't they put it in one bottle? I think the c...

Online Vendors

I know I'm new here but wanted to ask a question. Do most locals buy the stuff they need from online stores or local vendors? I own a small business (not a fish store) and know how hard it can sometimes be. Personally, I use the Internet for research, then go to one of the local guys and get them to...
