Okay well I finally won the battle of the green algae! (crowd goes wild). Now I got the brown stuff. I have a clown tang which picks and choses what he grazes but its not doing much good. What else will eat the brown stuff and are phosphates the source for brown algae also?

By the time they start to get big, my house will be built and they will be swimming in a 300-500 in wall tank.

I believe the reason you cant keep them with corals because they are active and clumsy. They bump into a lot of things including the corals. I have never seen him even think about nibbling on them. I made a real simple doser for dosing kalkwasser by using a salt container, some plastic airline rod, and a maxijet airflow valve. Snakeman is right. Cut the stony stalk with a clean pair of pruning shears. I use a nice ratchet type. Remember to go with the grain because if you go against it, the stalk will shatter.
