Few pics from the tank...

Don't know if I've ever posted any pics of my tank. Took a couple yesterday so I'll give it a shot.

Christmas Gifts...

I bought my wife a new Hi-Def camcorder. Its amazing to watch video played back in 1080i. Decided on the Mini-DV because our old one was mini-DV also. Plus I checked on the 30GB hard drive hi-def recorder and you can only record 60 minutes onto the hard drive. I bought the "Family" (really...

Filter

Great question to ask. I've been wondering what everyone else is doing also. I started out with a megaflow sump with the prefilter built in and later changed to a different type sump with filter socks. After cleaning the socks weekly and washing them before they went back, I took longer and longer t...

Which setup?

So, being in my situation, would you try to custom build a system or buy one of the prefab setups like the coralife? With the tank being 6 feet long, I will probably need two 3 foot setups. (I guess).

T-5 vs Coralife PC/halide setup

I'm sure there are folks out here with T-5 lights and some with halide/pc setups like the one I currently have. I'm thinking of changing over to a T-5 setup at some point in the future. I guess the halides are adding about $75 per month to my power bill. Just wondering if some of the more experience...

Site going down.

Kevin, Just wondering how hard it would be to just let someone else take over the site. Is this something you would be willing to do? You could hang around as a mod if you wanted to but take all the headache off your hands. I really like the club name and would like to see people (especially the new...

Kevin, Would it be possible to get a listing of the email addresses from the board? I'm gonna try and keep something going for the local folks here in Mobile and the Eastern Shore. I understand your decision to get out of the forum business. I'm sure you've been thinking over this for a while. I've ...

Update

Posted the same thing on the Marine Depot site. Someone there said these were "arminid nudibranchs". I removed one soft coral today which had died over the past few weeks. The rock was covered with these things. Anyone know how to rid the tank of them or if there is a fish that likes eatin...

Little White Bugs

Can someone help me figure out what these little guys are? They just started popping up all over the tank. Usually on the glass. They are about 1/4 inch long.

I'm running a chiller on my tank, so the temp stays between 78-80 most of the time. The really funny thing is that two colonies wilted over but one on the other side of the tank is doing fine.
