The Orange Monti is taking over the tank. Well that is encouraging. I guess I will start with montipora or pocillopora and once ...

I was told by one lfs shopkeeper that ph and calcium levels must be maintained within such a small window that realtime monitoring and automated dosing is required. I don't currenlty have a calcium rea...

Selecting a Closed-Loop pump
I'm in the process of setting up a closed loop system and am trying to find the best pump for the job. I bought a used Pan World 100-PX. My problem is it sounds like a jet engine in my living room. Does anyone know if that is a normal for this pump or if it is just loud because of wear and tear? Is ...

I friend of mine was moving and had a saltwater setup he wanted to get rid of. I'd kept freshwater tanks for about 8 years at the time and stayed away from saltwater out of fear of expense and high maintenance requirements. It was cheap. ASM G-3 Skimmer
Anyone have any experience with the ASM G series skimmer. It didn't come with any documentation and I don't know crap about setting this thing up. Also, I hear there are some modifications you can make to this thing to increase efficiency. Anyone tried?
