Juan,

You should have received a call with regard to the tank from the person we discussed. Please let me know if you have not.

Closest you are going to get to those dimensions is a 40 breeder.

36x18x18 or so. Cheapy at 85-90 most places.

Live Rock

I have about 70-80 pounds of live rock in various sizes (5-35 pounds). There are about 6 pieces.

$3 per pound per piece. $2 per pound if you buy it all.

I will only have it a short time before resale to store.

Drew, the ones I see are definitely what you want and they are 25 miles out.

Sue, I restarted the tank, got a bad case of velvet, ick, etc.. restarted again and now I just seem to want to grow algae.

I'll get it figured out eventually.

I am still around lurking. Just had some bad tank mojo going on that dampened my enthusiasm.

Next time I am out I will get a few Drew. The key is being on a good weedline. When you find tham there are usually bunches of them.

Boy thats a shame Drew. One good dip last week on the weed line and you could have had your pick of any one of a hundred including some cool red tail variations.

If you are talking about the cannister filter, I have one I used once you can buy or trade for. I even have an extra cartridge. Say $40.00. You gotta come get it though.

It was not strong enough for my tastes when vacuuming my 225.

Increasing the alkalinity in your rock cooking will help expedite the macro die off and the hair algae die off.

I lost about a third of my coral. The rest is not back in the tank yet.

I lost my regal angels, but have since acquired two more that are doing well.

Is the live rock still "live" or dry?

If it is live I wll take it.

I have a pintail, tonga flame, hawian flame, two mystery wrasses and a lineatus wrasse left.

I have seen black tangs for reasonable prices lately. If I hit the lottery I would have the gem tang, a conspic, two interruptus and a trip to hawaii to pick up two of everything Frank at RCT might have.

Yep, after 3 months in a two garbage cans the rock went back in the tank. I left the lights off another 3 weeks. I am sure the rock was still "cooking."

No more sand. I didn't know if I would be able to stand it, but now I like it.

Single tangs are very territorial in my experience. Especially the purples, yellows, koles, scopas types. Ditch the yellow menace and keep the nice wrasses. You know me, I only like the Chevrons.

I am now barebottom in my 225. So far so good.

I am absolutely astounded at the detritus from the rock work alone. It is really hard to fathom how a sand bed works long term after seeing it in person.
