I put one of these little creepies in my sand bed months back. Came out of someone else's tank who had the thing for years-she just finally caught it because it freaked her out.

That is an adorable puppy. I also love the Cocker Spaniel in the other photos. Used to have one who lived for 17 years-one of the best dogs I have ever had.

shouldnt be much of a problem. Just try not to add more than about an inch at a time to avoid choking out your existing sandbed. You can probably add an inch or so every 3-4 days. most sandbed critters are fairly tough and can obviously dig their way out.

I use the regular aqualights on several of my tanks. I use a single 65 watt for my seahorse/macroalgae tank and a dual 96 watt on my freshwater tank. both have the 6700k bulbs.

I apologize, SaltnLime, if I offended you. I wholeheartedly agree with you on that. But that is in China, after all, and child welfare is the last thing on their minds.

I know this sounds a bit saddistic, but this is funny as hell! I nearly filled my pants up when I scrolled down. Oh, and I agree-think of the time, money, and manpower we'd save if we worked things out this way  !

So this is the beginnings of your 980 gallon monster, eh? Looks like its going to be quite impressive, especially since I can see those sun tubes. Are you going to have any more supplemental lighting for dark, cloudy days?

Hey rich-its Andrew-did you get in those 96 watt square pin compacts yet? I was out of town and couldn't get em on Friday.

Primarily looking for stuff like your Heteranthera, maybe some Glossostigma, rarer variants of Java Fern (i.e. Windelov). Also the 'red' varieties of Alternanthera, Rotala macrandra, different Crypts, and other oddball stuff. Just got my tank back on track after an algae problem. had to really clear...

Looks great. what are the specs on the tank? CO2, lighting, chemistry, etc? BTW, the Heteranthera in the foreground is genius, especially against that Sword (Rubin?). Also, where did you get your plants, as I have a hard time finding some of the rarer species.

I have to forward with Jahdiel and NM354 on this one also. It is definitely either a multiple-mouthed Trachyphyllia or similar mussid. I lean toward the latter, since the texture is not quite on par with Trachyphyllia.

Bicolor Pseudochromis are even more aggressive than a royal gramma. I do not recommend Pseudochromids unless that is the only fish you want to put in that tank, otherwise they will kill anything you attempt to put in there.

Would not put a maroon clownfish of any sort in a tank of this size. Perc or ocellaris would be a much better choice. others would be neon gobies, coral gobies, maybe some type of basslet (Liopropoma) or perchlet, possibly an urchin clingfish (a hard to find fish that I have always wanted) to name a...

I would have to say that Scott's luck with the bakpak is the first that I have heard. Most of the people I have spoken to, even with modifications, did not like it on larger systems i.e. greater than 55 gallons, unless multiple units were used. They complained that its efficacy and performance were ...

I know what you mean as far as the vet looking at you oddly. I had to order acetazolamide (used for mental patients, sleep disorders, etc.) for my female seahorse, in addition to some syringes (which gets you the most attention  )
