Many Thanks to lzb3...tank finally setup

My tank is setup and is clearing up nicely. Im so appreciative for all of the rock and corals that Elizabeth and Charlie gave me. Its going to make this small 28gal tank a joy to keep. The rock is so large and impressive. Loaded with ricordia and other goodies. A small pocket of green star polyps, s...

Aqua C Remora...got it for 75 bucks. Seemed like a fairly decent deal and it just so happened to be on the way lzb's house, so it worked out great.

Seems to be a really nice skimmer as well. Im impressed even for such a short time.

Gerwin has always helped me out. Hes a really good guy. I wish their stock was better, but hes great.

Ive never heard of Saltwater Universe. I might have to look those guys up. Sad to hear about all of the dead stuff though. :(

Very nice OCD. The tank just keeps getting better and better. By the way, where are you getting your livestock? Pretty much the only local stores I know of stink to say it nicely. That being Crystal Reef and PassRoad Pets. (Although Gerwin as PassRoad is a really nice guy and their prices are decent...

While I dont have any tips for ya OCD, its nice to see someone else from my neck of the woods. I lived in Saucier almost all of my adult life. Moved to Gulfport 3 weeks before Katrina (perfect timing huh?) I would kill to have a nice large tank. :) All of your stuff looks great. Very nice looking an...

As far as running my lights 12 hours, I might cut back a little, but I do want to make sure I have them lit during the evening hours when I will enjoy it most.

Thanks again for the temps. I didnt quite remember how much of a daily swing was livable.

To add to this, Im wanting to expoxy my intake elbow to my skimmer back togther. I know I could use superglue gel, and I might if that is my only option. Im just wondering if there is any epoxy that is reef safe that you guys would recommend.

Just wanted to get ...

Man I wish you werent so far away. I so need some rock and sand to get my tank started. :(

If my tank were setup for awhile and cycled and such, I would probably make the trip for some other stuff as well.

Oh well, so goes life. Good luck and have a safe move.

Thanks for the replys. Im glad to see there are still lurkers. One question I have. Whats the best/cheapest bio filtration setup now? Back when I last had it going, liverock/sand was pretty much the cats meow, but Im not sure I want to invest in all of that right off for mostly a fish tank, but if t...
