I live in bay minette. But I wrote b&b facebook page and asked if they sale the test kits for mag and now I'm waiting for a reply.

No mag test kit. But I have old carbon filter pad getting new one tomorrow. But running fluval clearmax phos. Nitrate. Nitrite remover

Ab three days ago. The corals are in indirect flow. But all acros but birdnest is open witch is semi. The lps are all closed. And zoa are semi opened.

Mollies are gone...but coral still closed and browning with a few bleach spots....is this from insufficient light but this weekend I'm most likely upgrading to a metal halide will this improve color/health of corals I also did a 50% water change and my candy cane semi opened but that was all.

I was gonna have the fixture 12 inches away from the tank and several fans runnin yo help temp control. Also what does "de" mean as fish stated.

Coral Light Acclimation
Ok I'm upgrading my 20 gallon mixed reef tank from 130 watt power compact system. Which is 65 watt daylight bulb and 65 12,000 k actinic bulbs. Im upgrading to a mh fixture which has 1x 250W 15,000 k HQI metal halide, 2x 65W Actinic Blue CF amps, and 4x Bluemoon LED. What would be the best way to ac...

Ok ill consider a protein skimmer....I do good amount of water changes though.... but like I previously stated the algae is probly interfering eith my tests.

Lysmata wurdemanni is the species I'm looking far..... besides the shrimps what about any crabs or snails that will consume bryompis algae sorry for spelling and reef safe.... my water is all correct just can't get rid of it.

Its ok....would you happen to know what that media does or contains that might be the cause. I just don't why its causing problems now because its been in my system far awile.
