No, I have not had 1 but would like to get 1. From what I have read, I thought they were fairly hardy. It worries me that you had problems with 2 of them. Maybe they are not as hardy as I thought.

I have owned a Dolphin and owned a Sequence. The noise is about the same. I think they are both good pumps but the sequence seems to be made better. I plummed the ampmaster and turned it on and it was great. After a little while, the pump kindof settles down probably 1/4 inch as the rubber and carpe...

I have 4 VHOs (super actinics) and 3 400 watt MHs. I rarely ever turn on the VHOs. I have had XMs, Coralvue (sp?), and sunaquatics bulbs, all of which were 20K. I prefer the XMs but the coralvue are the easiest to buy locally. I was able to get decent growth and great coloration out of each of these...

Opinion on skimmers
I would like an honest opinion about skimmers. My own experience: I owned a seaclone skimmer in which I thought worked decent for a 55 gal. It wasn't until I added a Kent Nautilus that I realized what I was missing. After this, I moved to a 190g setup. The nautilous still worked great, but I wanted ...

Funny you should ask. I have been so busy trying to finish the house before the deadline that I just started working the tank Sunday. I just got home from the house and have now got most of the valves and bulkheads installed. I am hoping to get the rock in the tank this weekend (if I am not on the r...

Interesting Idea Scott. That would have been great on my last skimmer. Either of the new skimmers do not fluxuate if I set it up. I just want to run them with the gate 100% open. If I close the gate about 30-50% on the beckett skimmer and run only 1 injector, it works great. I just feel like I am wa...
