The actual salinity reading should be 34-35ppt or 1.024-1.026 on the specific gravity scale. I think that is what Kris actual meant to say.

New to SW
Hi there and welcome aboard!
We have a couple of stores in Mobile that have saltwater livestock. B&B Pet Stop and Progressive Marine usually have a fair amount of livestock (both fish and corals) in most of the time. Anybody on the board will be happy to help you out.

Galaxea
I have a Galaxea. I got mine as a small frag about three or four years ago and it is huge now. It grows fast with bright light and strong water flow. The stronger the flow the longer the sweeper tentacles. Definitely keep it away from other corals.

Is the sand still submerged in water or is it dry? If it is still submerged in water it is possible that the parasites are still alive. The parasite can only live in that state for about four weeks. If there are no fish host for about four weeks then there is a good chance the parasites are dead. Th...

Aiptasia
Yes they are bad for reef tanks. They are caused Aiptasia. They are anemones that can reproduce asexually and often do in aquariums. They do not require high light output to do well. One or two can quickly turn into many anemones. They are capable of stinging your corals. There are many ways to figh...

Too Much Heat
Do you have a heater? If so check it to make sure that it is set appropriately and not stuck in the on position. That happened to me once and I have Metal Halides and VHO's. You might also have to add one or two more fans. Also, how big is the fan that you have? If you end up with three fans have at...

Glass Cut
You could probably get it done at Metro Glass. They are located at the corner of Demetropolis and Hwy 90 close to Richie's BBQ. I am not sure of the exact price but you could probably get it for no more than $30 to $40 dollars.
