Re: water test high ph level/
Are you sure your test kit is not bad? I would recommend buying another pH test kit, even if it is a cheapo PetSmart kit. If it is still high, you can SLOWLY dose Distilled White Vinegar to drop pH to normal levels while you look for the reason(s) that your pH is high. I would time your vinegar dosi...

Re: Blue Velvet Slug
Uh oh, I didn't think I had flatworms but after seeing the photo I just might. I have brown spots on my green finger leather that look just like the brown spots on the second photo. I will take a closer look when I get home. If you can get the coral out easily, you can do a quick (1 min) FW dip to ...

Re: Need 15-20 gal tank
Funny you mention all of this. I ended up getting a very nice 25 gallon cube (18x18x18) that is killer. Also, strangely enough, yes the oargrass did survive. I didn't even realize that it was still alive until today when I ripped up a 2ft rhizome. The new tank is going to have a 250w 10K halide for...

Re: Need 15-20 gal tank
I have a sweet 25g tall that'd suit you perfectly. Problem is it's down in a storage unit in Orlando. I doubt you want to go this small, but I've got a few 10 gallons laying around.

Wanted: Sea Hare
I know it's pretty common for people to pass around Sea Hares when they are done with them to prevent them from starving. Anyone have one that they are done with, or just want to rehome?
Or even if you know of a store who has one for a reasonable price.
Thanks,
Todd

Re: Favor
Larry, I appreciate the vote. I am actually in the lead right now. Voting ends tonight at midnight, so I'd appreciate any more votes! Prize is a gift certificate if we win. We will also have the chance to do future work for them (website, logos, etc.) which is more what I am interested in. :) I have...

Re: Chaeto Question
I prefer an 18hr lighting cycle for Chaeto and 12-14hr cycle for Caluerpa. Well, that's what I've observed the best growth rates at.
Favor
I know I haven't been here long, or around much. But I wanted to ask a favor of y'all. I need you guys (and gals) to vote for me. I entered a conest for an online fish vendor, and am down by a few votes. The contest was to design a certificate for them. If you'd like to vote and help a fellow local ...

Re: Need to clear tank space
Here are some pictures of a couple of the corals. I've moved them all up closer to the lighting and they look much nicer, though the Purple Nurples are morphing and taking on some interesting coloration. 8) Though with a point-and-shoot, the colors of the corals are washed out. I do not have a pictu...

Re: Algae Grab Bag - Great for Fuge or Display
I needed to make room so all the algae has been shoved into the corner of the tank. The chaeto is not show.
