Thanks,

Hasn't worked fully yet. When and if it does I will elaborate further. Right now I would feel a fool explaining untill I actually get one to work. Then I couldn't be depicted as a nut-case.

Got the 150 going. Lovin it. PH stays very stable with little effort, temp doesn't change more than 2+/- and the corals all seem to be inflating larger than I have ever seen. Besides the 75gl this is the first large tank I have had bigger thena 20gl in the near 15 years of keeping reefs. Man, I have...

Wow is that yours ? Those are ones you raised yourself ??
Yes, I have been pretty much dedicated to ricordias for some time. I am setting up a 150gl just for raising them and trying out a few color morph tricks.

Hello. I do believe that peppermint shrimp are reported to prey on aptasia. If the number is not too high and you are a superglue gel user you can also get the little buggers by sticking the superglue tip into the hole the aptasia withdraws into, squeeze a little in and let it harden overnight, then...

Magnum 350 turned kalkreactor

Stupid I know but is working at least till I can get a decient one built. I pulled all the guts out of a shelved 350 Magnum but left the impeller in. I dumped a bunch of kalkwasser in it the other day, turned it on for a few seconds and let it rattle and whir till it churned up the solution. Connect...

LRS in Mobile?

Are there any LRS in Mobile worth visiting? I haven't been that way in years and was a reptile nut then before getting back into reefs so I would just visit B&B. Is it still around? Locally I doi Water World and Aquaria. Petland is also on my list here. believe it or not, they do get in a nice s...

Actually, though I use RO/DI Milton has the cleanest water around. No phosphates even. The computer that measures the city water quality for the medical facilities kept going off-line when first installed because it wasn't reading anything in the water. I have even used it to start a reef tank with ...

Here's the tank I have been thinking of setting up. It is 60"x24"x24". Not 100% sure I am going to make the leap as I was also thinking of selling it. Just can't make up my mind. It has a PFO dual 400wtMH and a 1/3hp chiller but I think the T5s would really be the way to go. Save on h...

Amphiprion, thanks for the info. I plan on raising ricordia FL so the lighting intensity vs depth of the tank should be a good combination. T5 4'x 4 overdriven is probably what I will do and ditch the 2x400wt MH/VHO set-up that is in the canopy now.

Hello. New here and readin this thread and wondering what I can do with a 660 ballast and T5s. What is the max bulb wattage? I assume 4 bulbs? What is overdriven? Is this the bulbs that have 2 ratings? So if a T5 doesn't list the overrating it can't be overdriven? Reason I am asking is I have a 150 ...

Hello from Pensacola

Also known as lower Alabama. At least that is what I have heard from many since moving here from OKC. Glad I am not there anymore. Cold I don't handle too well since blood thinned living down here. Anyway, new to this forum, actually never knew about it till of late, but thought it would be nice to ...
