RO Flow Restrictor?

Post by KrazyPlace »

I just got new filters and a DI upgrade for my RO unit. They also sent me a flow restrictor. I'm assuming I'm suppose to replace the old flow restrictor or would this be something new to add?

Is the flow restrictor suppose to go on the waste line?

Sorry, but there are no instructions for this unit.

Well the RO membrane and flow restrictor are kinda matched. It goes on the exit line, so find your old one and keep it. Then put the new one in.

Which exit line? And what do you mean by "so find your old one and keep it"? Does that mean take it off?

The flow restrictor goes in the water waste line. Normally yellow if i am not mistaken. Basically it is normally in the membrance exit line. Yes you pull out the old one. You see the ro membrane matches the flow restrictor. Lets say your ro had a 50 gallon membrane the the flow restrictor will be different than if you had a 100 gpd membrane.
