Where to get glass drill bits?

Post by Scott »

I have a couple of tanks that I would like to drill for different reasons and wondered if there was anywhere local that sold them. I will need bits for 1 inch and 1.5 inch bulkheads.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

Talk to Josh... he bought some in the past from a place here in Mobile... I forget where he said he got them.

Mail order is by FAR cheapest, don't bother searching local. Harbor Frieght has some small ones, up to 3/4 I think, but nothing big enough for what you want. I cut a 1 3/4" hole for a 1" bulkhead by using the 3/4 bit in a press and repeatedly taking chunks out of a hole with it, I wouldn't recommend this to most folks though, very risky :)
