Sump/Fuge ideas

Post by Kart Racer »

I believe I am going to change from a FOWLR back to a reef tank. I am looking for ideas/suggestions on how to set up a fuge with what I have now. I currently have a 4' 40 gal. tank with a bio-chamber in it. I will get rid of the bio-balls and all (if I can get it out from under the main tank) and was thinking of partioning it off. Have maybe like the first 6-8" for the skimmer then the next 3' or so with the macro algea with the last section housing the return pump. Does this sound like the right way to do it or am I missing the idea here somewhere? Also if anyone has pics of how their's is set-up please share. Will also have questions later about going bare bottom with just enough sand to hide the glass or using a DSB.
