Lookie what came in one day early

Post by snoopdog »

I just purchased two sumps on Monday from Jeff's Exotic Fish they were the Southbay brand that they had on sale. Jeff was nice enough to honor the sale price after the sale because I had to Gatlinburg and did not want them sitting in the yard if the courier got lazy. Anyway they measure 30H 13W 16H for the 75 gallon tank and 24L 13W 16H for the one to go on my 29 gallon tank. They were extremely well packed and not a scratch on them. The baffles amazingly pull out for cleaning which is less than my last acrylic sump did. There is also a nice cover where the intake water goes in to keep splash down. Anyway thought i would share my experience with you guys, I sent Jeff's the link to this thread to show my appreciation for them being so nice in honoring the price on these sumps. Oh and my last sump came from Marine Life Aquatics and cost $400 i believe it was, highly overpriced because i got both of these delivered to the door for less than that one.

Umm I have an irrational fear of hmmm lets say saltwater all over my living room floor... hence the reason we don't try to "build" anything....
Wonder what it is going to take to get a bigger tank?????

Mike,
If you are thinking of trying to build one yourself read this thread first:
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthrea ... adid=96763 I want to try, but I don't have that much confidence since I have never tried anything like it before.

Kevin,
How much was the shipping? How thick is the acrylic?
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

30L 13W 16H $150.00
24L 13W 16H $125.00
1/4inch acrylic, just measured it.

Packing Charge 20.00
Shipping 18.00

I can understand the packing charge if you saw how big the box was for each and how much styrofoam they used.
