very cool. I remember reading about these a month or so ago. I's really interested in the seperate timing system.

Agree - too pricy for my lil ole butget right now. =(

i have seen a few tanks with these in, not in person, but from what I can gather from those who have tried, them is that they don't see the growth that they had with PC's...

now these could be individual instances and such, but i would hope for them to be wonderful, and to make my own lights :)

it is something i have been playing with for a few months.

From what I have seen and heard, I am not that impressed. They compared these to a single ended metal halide bulb with another glass shield (they already have one and don't need another) and a sucky reflector. I think I will stick with the usual stuff for now until I see improvements and better testing, etc.

I think its a step in the right direction. LED technology has definitely improved and people are finding new applications for them all the time. I think in the next few years more products like this will be available and we will see the gap between them and conventional MH's narrowing.

Yes, given time. The thing is the way development is, something will probably take the LED's place before they become viable as a solution.
