am setting up a frag tank that is a 40 gallon breeder tank. I want to put LED’s on it, but don’t know much about them. Can someone give me some information on the. If this works good for the frag tank I may try and do my 225 gallon display one day. Here are a few questions that I have.
How many Bulbs are needed?
How many watts per gallon is needed?
Where to buy the supplies for the setup?
What color bulbs should I get?
I am sure I will have more but can someone answer any of these for me?

IM BUILDING A 25G NANO WITH 24 LEDS
WATTS PER GALLON! IS NOT USED ITS PAR RATING FOR A 40G BREEDER I WOULD USE 24-36 LEDS
DIMMABLE DRIVERS
COLOR OF LEDS DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU LIKE
I HAVE FOUND THAT NO MATTER THE COLOR(VERY CONSISTANT PAR VALUES)
RAPID LED HAS BETTER PRICES THAN MOST AND THEY HAVE KITS
IF YOU WANTED TO BE REALLY CHEAP YOU COULD ORDER FROM CHINA (PERSONALLY I WOULD NOT )

this is what would be effective clean cheap and easy.... regular 1w leds on a piece of plastic. 6 per resistor or less in the case of a failure you will only be out a few lighs and not entire strips. up side. cost about 30.00, less heat, no drivers. down side. no dimmers, some people bash the cheap way.

It works for lower light needs, but doesn't match the intensity of 3w LEDs with optics.
