I bought yet another coral.. that I have no clue what it is. I need help from the gurus to determine what it is? Any idea?

I am still trying to I.D that greenish black thick algea growing in Amy's 29 gallon. I am going to frag it and move it to my 20 gallon upstairs.

kinda looks like the notorious encrusting montipora pregosa. :shock: Look closely. You can see the misshapen breasts and enlarged pregnant belly forming...note the tell-tell belly button infusion.

I'd be carfull with that thing....they can get awnry and usually cause you more problems then they are worth in the long run! :P

As a side note: they usually win any encroaching war, so they are best treated with respect and given thier due room!

It got a lot furrier since I put it in there.. its like a duller green star polyps mat.. but the polyps are much closer together.

can you count the tentacles the each polyps have??? If so, might be easier to ID.
