snail Q

Post by reeferpuffer »

i was at the beach today and a few times a couple days ago and we were out diving and we saw tons of snails..theyre all over the rock, and they look like they have lil conch shells.. very cool looking critters grazing away on algae...i pick one up and let it cruise away on my fingers and hand and i could feel him scrapping my hand looking for food, i was curious if you think they'd be reef safe, of course b4 i put them into the tank, id have them in my Q tank for a couple months to make sure if any die or if they have contaminents on them, i figure a couple months b4 they go in would be addiquite time for the clean filtered water to clean em up just in case....what you guys think?

How large were they? What did they look like? I wouldn't hesitate trying them as long as they were relatively small and they were kept in a q-tank WITH corals for at least a month.
