Not sure (Eggs Maybe??)

Post by andy4499 »

I noticed this in my tank tonight and it looks like a spider web of eggs of some sort. the only thing that I have a pair of in the tank is couple of cleaner shrimp that I got the other day. Does anyone know what it might be.

Also have a pair of scooter blennys

Oh in the picture it looks like it on the rocks, but it is actually attached to the rock on one side and swaying back and forth in the water on the other end.

looks like the mucus of your scooter blennys, theyre related to the mandarin goby and they excrete it durring the night to hide there scent from predators. similar to parrot fish and wrasses

Had the same in my tank before, it is a little creature that lives in my rock, it is his way of feeding. He spits out a long mucous(sp) and pulls it back in, quite a nasty thing but sure cool to watch.
