tube worm ??

What is that and where did it come from?

tube worm ??

It came on a pc of tonga lr, all you can see is two antenna and it puts out this slime stream to catch food (i guess)

what is it?

I had one of these for many years, he died a year ago. I really miss watching him, his tube ended up several inches and was great fun to watch. I cannot remember the scientific name though.

You are correct in there eating technique, very efficient eaters.

It is actually not a worm at all. They are the vermetid snails (Vermetidae). If anything, they are more closely related to cerith and turrid snails. They are a harmless filter feeder.
