Does anyone know if this is some type of pest or is this just normal die off on this coral. I'll post a couple of pics.

Those little white guys look like Nudibranchs to me. Is that an Alveopora sp? I don't know if there are types of Nudibranchs that prey on them, but the coral itself can be a bit difficult to keep alive, they're somewhat susceptable to brown jelly infections, and algae on the skeleton can irritate it.
If it is Alveopora, this page may help you. It's the best page for Goniopora info, really helped me in learning about them. http://www.goniopora.org/

And an article as well: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/ ... invert.htm

Looks like some sort of Dendronotid nudibranch. In any case, nudibranchs are usually not a good sign, as most are very specialized and don't wander far from a particular host. It is an Alveopora sp., and a particularly nice one (except for the bare spots). Good luck and that is a great web site.
