Skimmer, Dosers

Post by sb1227 »

ETSS Super Reef Devil: has gate valve installed to make dialing in easier and more precise and comes with a brand new-in box mag 7 pump. I used this skimmer for 4 years on my 75 gallon SPS tank with very good results. $155.00 Don't have a pic right now, but can get one if need be.

Kent Aquadose 2.5 gallon system: new in box, comes with everything. $12.00

Aqua Medic Triple Reef Doser: Used one month. Also has an extra peristaltic hose and chemical resistant check valves I bought. This is an excellent doser for two or three part additions. Instructions are included and each unit is set individually from one digital panel. $225.00

I'd probably grab that reefdoser if I knew my jobs situation. I use to have a one that was so old and rusted out it stopped working. It worked great for dosing stuff though.

Sue, I may dive on that peristaltic pump. I need another one. How do you program these?

Oh, good grief. I had to go break the thing out and read the instructions. You know I can't remember anything longer than 5 minutes.....

Anyway, you actually set each pump for a cycle time and a run time. If you're good with numbers you'll be fine. For me, it was a PITA to figure it out. Setting the thing was easy, it was just figuring out how long to run each one in a 24hr period that was tough for me. Ran just fine once I got all the times down though.

Honestly, it would be for the same thing I just got it for. It hasnt even been taken out of the box. You would do just as well to order one from Fosters and Smith. I think it was 70 dollars with shipping. :) Sorry 'bout that.

I may consider selling the skimmer without a pump, but it'd be about 90 bucks.
