Rubbermaid Sump?

Post by dave3112 »

Does know of or has anyone build a sump out of rubbermaid containers? I have a lot of them and wondered it that would work, instead of throwing them out.
Thanks

Sure it will work, even seen people drill them and put in bulkheads.

I have used them couple of times but got away from them and went to plexiglass or glass....Rubbermade tubs (the ones you get from walmart ect tend to get hard and brittle after a year...with heater and pump heat....I got afraid of leaks.... or you should change out every year....I have pulled them out and they broke up like a potato chip......JMO..

No need for plans, you can just use your imagination since you are only down $7 if you screw it up.

I have been using one for about 3 years now, the semi transparent kind. I just put 1" bulkheads in to feed my pumps.
