How did you find anything on that site? I hate it because their whole design is terrible.

Are you thinking of building a tank?

What material(s) are you going to use? How large is it going to be?

That's pretty ambitious. Do you have any experience working with acrylic? Where are you getting your supplies?

I would love to learn to wrk with acrylic. I have read hundreds of pages on it. I am going to go out to Al-FLA plastics to buy some cheap acrylic or see if they have any scraps that I can work with. They have Weldon 3 and 4 and the needle applicators out there too.

you dont need to go there to get scraps to practice on home depot caries extruded acrilic. just dont use this stuff to build anthing that you hold water in or the seams will come apart.
also I have built some display box's out of acrilic for retierment cerimonies while I was in the NAVY

Scott, can you give me an address or phone on that company? I can only order materials around here.

They are actually on the service road heading North on I-65 right before the prichard exit if I remember.

So, does anyone know where to get 1/4" acrylic? I want to build a coast to coast overflow in my 180. It is not drilled, but i am having the back drilled. I need to know where to get the acrylic, reasonably, and where to get the acrylic sealant. Can i use a high quality silicon to glue the acrylic to the glass? Any info would be awsome. I live in R'dale, lookin for something close by to go pick up or pick out colors etc..thanks

You may want to consider doing the coast to coast with two pieces of glass and use a piece if gutter guard as a strainer. I'm not sure how well aquarium sealant would bond to acrylic. Just a thought.
