Sump baffle ?

I am going to add baffles to my glass sump. I am not sure what baffle design I am going with (if you have any pics or ideas let me know).
So can I just go to a glass shop and have them cut the glass so that it is the height that I want and the width of the tank?

I am eventually going to (attempt to) make an acrylic sump but I don't have all the equipment yet. I got an e-mail the other day from an acrylic place called Southeastern Plastics and Fabrication. Has anyone heard of them?

I had the glass place here cut them for me, just gave them measurements and they cut them and drilled the holes. No problem, then I just siliconed them in.

Al-Fla Plastics on the 65 service road (access to it at the Pritchard exit) has all the plastics you need.

Isn't that usually the problem with acrylic, you'd think the stuff was gold.

I priced a sheet from them a few months ago. It was enough to make the sump that I wanted and enough left over to try a few things. The problem was that they had to pick me up off the floor when I got the price. If I remember right I could have had a sump made by MyReefCreations for what they wanted for a sheet.

I've got an amiracle wet dry filter box, you can cut it up and use the acrylic... I need to get rid of it anyway.

I've got a small sign business and I buy the stuff all the time from Grimco in Mobile, but you must have a business license to get it. It's about 1/2 the price of acrylic from Al-Fla, but you can't get it cut and the don't stock the thicker stuff (above 1/4").

You could always go to Lowes and buy glass......they cut it for you......

Scott,
Not sure where in Mobile you are but I had Wigmans Hardware on DIP cut 4 pieces for me that I put in my sump. I dont think I spent over 6-8 bucks for 4 pieces 12"X12".

The Lowes and Home Depot on Shillingers told me that none of there stores cut glass anymore. They both took there machines out.

That's weird; the Lowes in TC told me they do, and they even have a big sign up saying they do.........maybe it's just the Sch store.....
