Overflow's

Post by GrandBayReef »

Has anyone ever used or heard of a Calfo Overflow set up. He is a link to the info that found and it really intrigued me.

I'm getting real busy on my tank swap this weekend and thought about using this.

Thanks

Thank you for this link. I think this is what a friend of mine uses on his 550. I had been trying to decide what tank to do next and may have to use this setup.

Is it as quiet and fool proof as the article says?

I've never seen something like this in person but I would imagine it does a much better job at skimming the surface of the tank than a corner overflow. I have some dead spots on the top that get a film build up on and i'm using 2 tunze 6025 modded right at the top of the tank. Without reading the entire article I'd imagine that having 3 pipes for overflow is a good safety feature.
