Is Winn Dixie drinking water good for reef tank?

Post by Crustman »

I can mix my salts easily with these gallon jugs. They say purified by reverse osmosis. I am mixing 1/2 cup Instant Ocean Reef crystals with 1 gallon water. Please let me know if my salt mix is wrong. There is much to learn. Thanks

Hi, Tom. Bring a sample of the Winn-Dixie RO water to the shop and I'd be happy to test it's relative purity for you and let you know if it is suitable or not. Unless it is an inconvenient drive, we do sell RO/DI water that is ascertained to be of good purity (2 ppm or less of total dissolved solids) and it is only $.50 per gallon. You can purchase your own containers or purchase some of our 5 gallon ones.
