so has anyone on here every had one in there salt tank ? just added him sunday and he is starting to hang out with my clown fish lol hasnt attacked anything yet seems very calm.

I've only ever seen them in brackish tanks, but they are actually marine fish, so they'll do best in full strength seawater. Not really invert safe at all, though, and can nip at corals.

had him in a fresh tank for a few months. kinda got bored and acclimated him to full salt in a 5 g hex tank. talked to some people on line and have heard good and bad about them in reef tanks he is being watched very very closely right now seems happy with the mysis shrip so far. i still have the hex tank running in case he shows his ass or can banish him to the sump. :P
