New Frag Tank and Refugium Build

Post by andy4499 »

I am going to switch out my current two 20 gallon setup frag tank and refugium with a 55 gallon (custom build frag tank) and 40 gallon (refugium). Here is a picture of what it looks like right now. I will post more pictures later as it develops.

No new updates right now. I have not touched this thing since I took these pictures. I moved to a new house and still trying to get things moved around. This setup is next on my list of things to do. I will post some pictures as soon as I get back on this project.

Can not believe that this setup has been put on hold for almost a year now. I finally have gotten the chance to get back to it. Here is what the stand looks like now. It has been sanded and stained. I plan to put a gold trim around the top and bottom then finish it up with a few coats of clear coats. Still have not cut out the doors or done anything with the canopy yet. Got have to get the stand done so I can get it cycling.

Also this is now going to be two frag tanks (not a refugium and a frag tank).

Paint and Trim is done all that is left is the clear coat witch I plan to do tomorrow. Then it will have to sit a week or more before I can get it up and running. Still will have to finish the canopy and doors later.

The trim I used was purchased a year ago at southeastern salvage in mobile. Thay may still have some. Not sure what it is called, but the ones going up the side is a basket weave. I spray painted it with car paint with my compresser.

The tanks are up and running still have to finish the doors and canopy though. Also need to get the lighting straight on all the tanks. What you see for lighting is temporary.
