bicolor & lawnmover blenny

Post by Kresnahw22 »

I was wondering if a lawnmover blenny & a bicolor blenny could both go together in a 55 gallon tank.

IME, no. That even goes for a much larger tank. The lanwmower almost always harasses the smaller bicolor, mostly due to the same body plan and same dietary preferences.

Two blennies won't work together.

What are you using for nutrient export?

I have a Bi Colored and a Midas Blenny in the tank that get along great. The Midas dosn't seem to be an algae eater though.

Clearmax is labeled to use caution around inverts. I'd discontinue use to see if it helps at all.

Do you know why they say that I've googled it and found no definate answer I've been using it far several months w/o problems but currently my coral polyps are closed but I also have a molly in there I'm trying to catch. What do you you mean it helps by removing it.

I wasn't paying attention and thought this was your "my corals won't open thread." I'll move my response there.

If you have algae that keeps coming back, you might want to figure out WHY it keeps coming back !
