2 gal nano reef

Post by keeganpsp »

okay so im thinking about starting a 2 gallon nano. i already have a full 75gal reef setup and im just trying to have something small to play around with. its a 2 gal nano with a 3 stage filtration process, mechanical, chemical, and biological; it also has a 31 led light. what i wanna know is all this gonna be enough for me to have a small reef setup with maybe one or two fish? is the filtration going to be enough for the system to sustain itself? is the lighting going to be enough to have corals? too powerful, not enough power? thanks so much for all the information you can provide.

on the lighting you will need a par meter to have any real answer

on the filtration it depends on the bioload (imo it should work)
don't do alot of feeding and weekly waterchanges

check out youtube look for the 1/2 gallon sps tank
he goes in to fine detailes on how to do it!

all in all
i think it will work go for it
