Now is the time of the year to get a clam if you are going after one, for sure. In the warmer months, too many of them have contracted Perkinsosis.

I agree on feeding. Smaller ones seem to do best when they have extra phytoplankton input. Large ones do better with it too, though their requirements aren't quite as demanding.
