I'm fairly new to reef keeping,,.. I had a reef tank a long time ago, but have forgotten as much or more than I ever new. I have been keeping african cichlids for a while now and decided to break most my tanks dow and sell......... now I'm wishing i had my tanks back .

Currently I have

29 gallon Reef
Set up one month
about 30 lbs of fiji live rock
2" of live sand/arg
1 175W Metal Halide with 10k Ushio
2 blue actinic 03's (if I can find the bulbs local

)
emperor filter for water movement

Percula clown, Banded coral shrimp...and brittle stars,turbo's, red leg hermits, scarlets and some others.

180 Gallon African cichlid
won't list fish as this is not a freshwater forum

Hello and welcome to our very very small part of the reef scene. Give us time though, I think that we are going to make an impact. These things take time and alot of dedication. Hopefully we may have a meeting this weekend, lets see what happens. But anyway, thanks for registering and I hope you come here often.

Has your tank completely cycled? You may find that you can buy corals and frags much cheaper though members than most of the LFS. I am thinking of selling a few corals and some MH ballasts to fund a lighting upgrade.

Did you just move to the area? What kind's of corals are you planning on keeping?
