salt creep problems

Post by reefer21 »

I'm currently have problems with my 29g tank leaking out salt at the bottom trim of the tank. I have tried looking for a leak but can't find one. I was wondering what i could do to stop this from happing.

You may hae a pinhole leak in the silicone unless it is coming from they sump. Where is it in relation to other equipment? Is it in the back near any pipes?
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

it may also come from the top of your tank....

When you reach in, water can get in between the top plastic and the tank very easily, then drip down to the lower plastic. Happens to mine as well, no leaks, but I have noticed i can do some work in the tank, and have water drip from under the top plastic.
