Lights and Protein Skimmer

Post by jmjohnson77 »

I just spoke to a shop owner who recommended VHO lights by URL and a protein skimmer by Odyssey. Anybody know anything about either of the brands?

VHO lamps by URI are the best around, whereas Odyssea (especially their skimmers) are about the worst. If you are looking for a more inexpensive skimmer, look into the Coralife super skimmers, the Pacific Imports Reef Octopus skimmers. Slightly (to much, respectively) more expensive skimmers include ASM, AquaC EV, EuroReef, Tunze, Deltec. I would look into these brands, depending upon your application.

I second every word amphiprion said. Odyssea is just about some of the worst equipment i have ever worked with.
