I have ordered some, where do they need to be placed in my tank, lighting req., can they be close to each other?

They are pretty tough, the colors look better if they are close to light, but if you have halides you can put them just about wherever you like.

I'd put them low and work up to where you want them, palys aren't agressive, but can spread relatively rapidly under good conditions. I bought a rock of 10 common green palys two months ago that's about 30 strong now.

If you feed them (mysis or brine, even formula one), they will grow much faster.
100 gal mixed reef, 30 gal sump, 4x54w T5, 2x150w HQI, OctoX 200 skimmer, Kalk top-off, rocky mixed reef.
