Tank lighting question.

Post by turbo98 »

Will a 150w mh with two 65w pc's be enough light for a 60 gallon cube? I want to grow anything without limitations.

to grow anything without limitations i would go with 250mh
the 150 would work for lots of lps and soft corals but just does not pack enough light for almost all sps or clams.

You may also want to consider a T5 setup. The 250 will throw off some heat. I'm not sure of the depth but on my 65 tall I'm running 6 T5 bulbs and have no problems with anything. Actually they are too strong for some of my lps.

wanna light it perfect? Lumenbright large or mini, with a mogul base 175 halide (250) if you can get some fans in the hood too.
