Thinking of switching to LEDs

Post by Fishfood »

Anyone want to build a DIY unit for me. Time frame is september/october I buy all that is needed and we will discuss a payment for building it... Could be cash or coral frags. I have no time and no idea what I'm doing with leds. I'd learn but the time part is more of the problem.

I might could do it for you. It depends on the kit. I am an industrial electrician and instrument mechanic. I just built one for myself . Rapid led has a presoldered kit that I like. I did all the soldering on my kit and it was a LOT of work. Be aware that the cost of the kit is nat all that is involved. You will need wire, fans, power supply if fans are dc. You will want something to help hide and organize your wires. U also need brackets for the fans. And you will need heat sink on which to mount the lights. I built a splash guard out of plexiglass that supports my kit. painted the outer part black to hide . I haven't built a hanger kit yet. just have it resting on some unistrut on top of the tank temporarily
