RIP the old computer

Post by sb1227 »

Well it finally gave up the ghost, the old computer. (Even if it was only 5 or so years old, that's what, 90 in computer years?)

Thanks Brandon, for recommending the Dell outlet. I had to have a replacement cpu quickly, and got one from them and had it here in three days.

Got a Dimention E520 Pentium duo core processor (930, I think) with 2Gb DDR2 memory, a 250GB harddrive, Radion X1300 pro 256MB video card, etc. I think it was about $730. It's enough for what I need, and not a bad price, I thought. But I was in a bit of a hurry.

I was going to order from Dell store, but you can't get just the cpu alone. I figured I could upgrade the LCD monitor later, the one I have is fine. I would much rather upgrade the memory than have a nice new monitor and there isn't the option to do that.
